I was walking next to Funchal's coast line, and saw these men trying to get some fish. I thought that if it wasn't for supermarkets, that's probably how most of us would try to get dinner.
I have great respect for fishermen, both my grandparents and also my dad were going out to sea to make a living. Also, Madeira, being a small island, has a big connection to the ocean.
Notice the big pebbles of the beach.

The sunlight that enters from the top right corner of the composition is a distraction. However, it's a good idea :)

Dynamic range is an issue - especially for the guy in the foreground. Nice compositio.
