Aw! I can't tell if it really meets the challenge, despite your tittle explain it. But it's the only problem with this shot in my opinion, because i loved, really loved the light and this background...Some people may not like it because it's "just" a sculpture, but it looks alive, which makes your shot look better!

Nice orange - Might like to have seen a composition not so centered - something more dynamic, but the flow of the statue still make it work as is.

love this photo, esp. the warm orange in the background.

The lighting is pleasant and the orange background works very well. Maybe it would profit from a more original composition.

First of all, I think this is a great photo. The statues look fantastic and have quite a bit of character beyond the figurines themselves- the lighting and shadows are great and add quite a bit. Great background gives fantastic pop to the shot, but is in the right color palette to enhance the browns in the dancers.

Outside of the title though, this doesn't look like a beginning of something (certainly doesn't look like the beginning of a dance- looks a lot more like the big ending!) So I do think you're stretching it a bit, but I also think it's a fantastic shot... so all in all this averages out to 5/6 range for me- even though I wish I could give it more.
