A humming bird became confused by our skylight, and couldn't leave. I then noticed our cat watching him, and realized that I had my "Ending" shot. We saved the bird after the shot was taken.

Hi,
A nice image & it fits well with the challenge. I like the composition, think it is well done. You made nice use of the dof but it seems a bit blownout & the shine off the sink is a major distraction. The cat seems a bit over exposed also thou it has some texture it lacks detail. Most of this it seems can be corrected by a 1/2 to a full stop down in exposeure. Imho this would have improved the image vastly & it would have scored much higher.

Nice DOF on the cat but background blow-outs spoils what could have been a much better shot.

One of the best in the challenge. Absolutely stunning image of this incredible animal and beautifully composed. The look in it's eyes has been captured in a exceptional way and one can feel the powerful emotions of the hunter as he /she closes in for the kill. The challenge theme "The End" is mirrored here perfectly. The lighting is brilliant and the image displays a full range of tones and fantastic detail. A masterwork in every way. Should definitely ribbon imo
