 What a tough challenge (especially for a beginner). I really struggled to come up with an idea for a colour shot that was grey.

Used a can of primer on a few flowers I had given to my wife earlier. I hope she doesnt notice.

Anyway anything over a 5 will be a bonus. Fingers crossed and at least I made the effort to enter which is what matters to me at the moment. Its all good experience.

4 - Looks like you sprayed these, looks quite effective, but, in my opinion, the most interesting parts of the image are the shapes and contours of the petals that are in focus and they don't dominate enough of the frame. Maybe not quite so close and or a variation in angle may have given this a little extra.
