The beginning of a chain reaction. Not an original idea, I know, but I liked the capture just as the front match ignited, and the angle at which I placed the matches, to give a different perspective of the shot. I know will get canned for the flame being blown out but I kind of like the effect, showing the heat and intensity of the first match just after it exploded into action.

Neat idea, the comp is good, it is a tad bright or over saturated, but you did a good job on getting this, 7.

This is a great interpretation of the challenge. Love the colors, the concept, dof, and appreciate the difficulty. I feel the wood portion of the matches could have had a bit more contrast.

The flame is quite washed out, maybe there would have been a possibility with 2 superimposed pictures within the camera. Don't misunderstand me, it's a very good picture (especially the title), but I just had this idea...

Great way to utilize pattern and shallow depth of field. I hope you got it in just a few takes- or else there could be a lot of matches used! I am always a fan of grainy shots- the wood looks fantastic and textured, and the grain in the first match head helps it look like it's just ready to explode. Nice touch with the border. It's a complete shot- can't really offer up any constructive criticism.
