 Taken in National Park NSW, I stopped to take a shot of a bridge and under it I found a slow moving stream with loads of these little guys. Took a bunch of shots, most were blurry but this was one of the better ones.

Cropped, straightened, curves and USM. Burned the wings slightly. Reduced noise in Photoshop.

an almost crystalline dragonfly, cold icy-blue, over this warm smooth emerald green liquid background. Either is great, combined is greater still.

I really like this shot a lot, the effect of the water looks great. The dragonfly seems a bit washed out though. Still a beautiful shot. 8

Almost abstract, I like the color contrasts, but the light and focus on the dragon fly is not quite satisfying.

For me, the background offers the most interest - not because I don't appreciate the dragonfly - just that the background looks fantastic.
