ok... well this one took up my whole Saturday! First, I drove Downtown Toronto to this spot (same spot I did my Single Tree pic) and took the little pic you see my finger pointing to, then I came home (it's about a 20 min drive to this spot) Then I made this little colour swab page and took it over to costco (price club) and had it printed out, then taped it into a paint chip colour book. Now, of course several hours have passed and sadly, the weather has changed and there was a typical Canadian snow flurry going on, so I waited for it to pass by, drove all the way down there, and believe it or not, by the time I got my tripod setup, BAM! it starts snowing again and the nice clouds have dissappeared!... Agh! so, back home I went, watched some TV and had dinner, then at around 4:30 I noticed that the snow had cleared so I gave it one more go... this is what I was able to get,,, I'm pretty pleased with it =)
The tricky part was making sure that the flash didn't reflect off of the picture of the other pictures (these are all ones I took over the past year... there was a night sky one at the bottom with spinning stars in the sky, but it ended up taking one for the team and getting cropped off)

To make sure there was no reflection, I had to keep the flash at weak power and I used a Garry Fong Light sphere, it worked excellent! (As usual)

Anyways... My main reason for doing this was to force some nice colours into the Grey challenge while still meeting the requirements...

I'm not sure how well it will do, hopefully it will get some good brownie points for originality =)

I wish I had a fraction of your creativity. This is an awesome, and original idea, and you should have ribboned IMO.

Clever combination, and interesting display of your images, including the one duplicated in the background. First thought this was actually outside, then thought fingers need gloves, then noticed the similarity of background and foreground grey images.

very creative! I don't know that I'd rate the photo as a 10, but I'm giving a 10 because it is extremely creative (well done, I might add!)

GREAT concept and execution. I think the weather "strip" is a bit too wide compared to the paint chips. But the overall effect is stellar.
