 Was playing around with new camera and lenses. Come across this little hedgehog sitting in the grass and took a few photos. The telephoto lens allowed me to sit at a far enough distance and wait for it to relax, uncurl and open it's eyes. These little fellows survive by curling up into a tight ball when threatened so only the spiny prickles show.

Post processing, sharpened, saturation and hue.

A lovely portrait of one of my favourite animals! It is a shame that the leaf comes across the hedgehog's face as that does detract from the impact somewhat, but nonetheless a photo I have very much enjoyed viewing.
