I was thinking about your shot adn obviously the TV issue. Maybe cutting out a piece of white paper adn sticking on the TV would give the impression of it being on, this would also not give you any of the light from the TV which take away from the shot. Full kudos for trying this shot, well done

I give you full props for having the guts to add the noise to duplicate the softness of the original. I thought about it and even tried, but I knew it wouldn't fly here on DPC. My only suggestion on this update would be for you to have had the TV on. :)

definitely one of my favs... I love the tilt on the lamp shade, the blank tv screen, the sunglasses.... it's really really good.

There's movement in the lamp and the thing by the chair, but no movement in him. I would have liked to see him look like his head is being pushed back, or something. he's too static.

Also, it seems very dark. I think it could use a little lightening.

There are two shots in this challenge almost of the same kind!

Good shot though!

I like the attempt. Might have been better if you actually had some speakers or if the TV was actually on... though I guess that would have screwed up your lighting.

Wow, 2 pics in the comp almost identical! Great concept!

great tribute! should have traded the tv for speakers though.

like the idea! And he's looking so cool....
but the very interesting details are a tad to dark in my eyes

Maxell breaks the sound barrier - very nostalgic

Good remake....but a TV? Shouldn't it be a mondo speaker? And the TV isn't even turned on? Still good though.

Great concept, ISO looks very high and I think the concept would have been improved with a BIG TV or stereo as your TV doesn't look like it would generate a blast!
