 The announcement of the collapse of the icelandic government on Jan 26 came after three months of public protests over the government's role in the economic meltdown last October. Riotous protesters have been pounded on the walls of Iceland's parliament building for weeks, denouncing the government for its incompetence. They were as one of the protesters said literally banging down the government. This is a scene from the parlament building.
