This is a sand dune that sits sort of alone in the middle of a large salt flats area. I walked up the dune and down in the same footprints to create the trail.
Converted from raw by adding lots of contrast, desaturating and playing with the channel mixer (mostly green) to get the BW tones that I liked. Resized, sharpened, add border.

Very mesmerizing! That must have been a real feat.. walking back down in the same footprints you made going up.. you're lucky you didn't lose your balance and make a body print too, lol.

The textures in this are exceptional, I also like your grey tones.

This is cool, the footsteps really add so much to this shot.

Awesome! I would have liked to see a bit more contrast between the dune and sky but it's just awesome as is.

Wonderful image, great composition and the flowing lines. The tone strikes me as a bit soft...a bit more contrast might make this really sing. I would have been proud to have taken this image.

No, I didn't walk backwards down the dune. I'd have fallen down and gotten sand in my camera :-)

I walked to the top to take a photo from there. I didn't look nice and I could see that it would be better from below, but I didn't want two rows of footprints. So I just walked down in the same footprints. Only Davy Crockett could tell the difference.

Wonderful shot! Great how your eye is led from the bottom right by the water tracks into the footprints, through the shot to the top left. Very good composition and set up.
