Lensbaby consideration for Single Tree but it's a pretty hefty crop from the original.

Love it Deb!! Maybe would have fared poorly in the challenge it probably would have been one of the best images. I don't convey thoughts on an image as well as Paul does so I will just echo his sentiments, well done!

Lovely shot Deb and whilst it wouldn't have garnished a 3 average I don't think the majority of dpc'ers are ready for this caliber of image (yet).

For me it would have been perfect for Single Tree and hope you score well with its replacement ;)

Beautiful, beautiful, and may I say again, beautiful. Quietly resonant. This pulsates in a most serenely understated way.

How about Tree and ubique? He is so good at his interpretations. I just have to look at this and get lost in the field with wonder. Excellent. I've really grown to love these blurry images. Great work!

Good for the Grey challenge too. Love the light and dark lines of the foreground. The simplicity is wonderful, and the lone man under the tree makes this very special. Fabulous.

After reading that other ghastly thread, I hope it will give you a chuckle if I assure you that this would not have been a 3! (I only hope that its replacement doesn't turn out to have been so, 'cause I'll feel absolutely dreadful.)

This one has everything that I hope for in a photograph ... ambiguity; a tantalising blend of the implicit with the explicit; a stimulating juxtaposition; exceptionally beautiful restrained tones; and a graphic elegance and aesthetic that exists independent of the actual subject matter. It even has a killer title. I could look at it for a very long time indeed, and I am in fact doing so now. I will not lie to you Deb ... if it had been entered in Single Tree, I promise you I would have chosen it as Best in Challenge. And awarded it the Order of the Thumb, which I now do anyway.

gorgeous! I like the fact that this one could've been made with an old camera or maybe even a pinhole. The blur / movement and color really adds here.
