Thank you guys for your nice comments. This car and the rest in the series were taken during the 2009 North American Auto Show in Detroit, MI. Photographing this car was quite a challenge: not only that the light was reflecting all over from the ceiling light fixtures but it was also placed on a continuously rotating stand. Furthermore I spent quite some time trying to figure out the best spot where people wouldn’t interfere while shooting. I noticed the overexposed spot on the roof top but honestly it didn’t bothered me much since after all it seems to be nicely contrasting with the rest of the image – in terms of lighting. You can see the whole series here or here.
The editing was absolutely minimal: white balance correction, sharpness and spot removal (using the clone tool) for some scattered light reflections on the fender and stop lights - all done in Photoshop CS4. I had to be extremely careful shooting the originals since I also submitted photos for the photo competition and unlike most places they didn’t allow ANY post processing. You can see the original version on the NAIAS web site.

I always like the variety of shots in the monthy 'best of' series. Don't see many like this one. I like the colors and smoothness of the light. Very pretty. |

I like car shots, good color and composition, the reflection hot spot at top center is a bit distracting |

vehicles can be very hard to light. you did this well except for the hot spot on the dark top. |

Love the smooth, sleek look, I'm eager to know what editing process you used. |

This image is top notch. Great lines and control of exposure. This image glows with a gold luster. 8 |
