 I went to a dollar store last night and bought several pairs of sunglasses....well 8. Not sure what I will do with them now, maybe label for each day of the week and where two on Sunday. I also had no idea what I would do for the challenge. One of the pairs was silver and reflective and I thought I would reflect the sunflower in them and have done. So I shot them reflecting in both lenses and then decided on the one. I uploaded to see what I got. While waiting for the upload I took a shower. In the shower I thought....hmmmm would it work if I put one of the other pairs of sunglasses on the flower and reflect it? So I tried it.

I hung the reflective sunglasses from a piece of white foam board over my shooting area (poor thing needs to be replaced) with some string. I positioned the glasses against one of the two backgrounds (colored papar on two sheets of foam board attached with masking tape to each board at about a 45° angle to the other) and directed the lower lens a place where it reflected the sunflower well. I attached the string to only the upper temple so the lower sunglass lens was perpendicular to the flower (ie, portrait, not landscape). Not sure if it might have looked better with the reflective glasses horizontal but it was in a good position to shoot without an abundance of room reflecitons. Camera was on a tripod with cable remote release. Lit with two clamp lamps to the left.

Post: Camera Raw adjustments in PSElements 6.0. Layer adjustments for levels, brightness/contrast and hue saturation. CW rotation and crop and cropped again for 1.50:1 aspect ratio. Cloned/spot healed dust and cloned the blurred out heal of the temple on the right, what little of it remained after cropping. Also cloned imperfections and marks on the glasses in the reflection and the petals of the flower. Reduce glare with some cloning and the brush tool. Adjust sharpness. Curves adjustment. Resize. USM.

Well, you answered my in-challenge question in your notes. Intersting. I'm surprised it came in where it did. i really liked it and was one of your 9's.
