This is a great shot, photos with shallow backgrounds rarely do well in the Amsel Adams challenge, this is an exception, the composition is excellent, almost feels like 2 images. |

The clouds are nice, but the composition is a bit flat. The image is overly processed, the area in the top right corner is especially noticeable. |

What lovely wispy clouds, and how well they match the wispy vegetation. |

This is exceptionally nice from a tonal perspective. It's marred a little, technically, by the skyline haloing. Compositionally it's pretty nice, but just a bit lacking in the sense of not having a more dominant subject. For me, it's more a picture of the sky than it is of the desert, actually, because the sky dominates here. Still and all, a very nice offering. |

This sky is great, better than the ground, which looks oversharpened to me. Nice balance between the sky and ground though. |
