 thanks a lot to my patient model Tina for giving me the opporunity to photograph her and her roly-poly (yay, learned a new word!) belly :)
perhaps as soon as the challenge ends, a newborn personality will have already glimpsed at the world.

i know this one is not perfect for the challenge as it's obviously a setup shot lit from a single studio strobe.
too bad i kinda messed up my plan during the shooting. i had one particular shot for the challenge in mind, that showed her infront of the window, thus more authentic and natural looking and better for the challenge imo. I did get that shot, but not on digital, instead on my mamiya that was loaded with b&w film for most of the time.

As i stated in my details, i didn't feel too comfy entering this shot either. Not because it contains nudity, but because i felt i could (and should) have gotten a better and more natural looking shot for this challenge. However i personally think it does fit the theme. Pregnancy is such a special and character building time, not to mention becoming a mom and being responsible for your child, especially in a very young age (she's my age and it's her second child btw) so i felt that this very simple yet honest photograph showed some of the flavor of that special and "moving" time. Plus her unborn child will be grown into his or her (they don't know yet) very own personality quite soon i'm sure so it was actually up to your interpretation and imagination to "see" the personality in this shot...;)

i can't put into words how amazing it is to consider the wonders of birth and how well designed a woman is to be the vessel for this. (nice shot too)

I like your low angle here. I think it really emphasizes the pregnant belly and make it the subject of the iamge. A beautiful maternity portrait.
