I happened to take several shots (burst mode) of the same scene used in my October Free Study submission - Perspective (//www.dpchallenge.com/image.php?IMAGE_ID=733940). Since that was by far one of my best of 2008, I decided to use one of the extras (shot within 2 seconds of each other).

I love the minimalistic feeling of this, the contrast, and how the shadows give a sense of motion to the shot. It also serves as a good reminder how small we as humans are, and how vast our earth really is.

gorgeous, love the soft billowing curvaceous lines of the sand against the sold black of the person. Just an amazing capture, well done

change this to B&W crop out the person and you got an Ansel Adams (not to mention the air flight...I'm guessing)...neat formations of the sand....cool shot

the curves of the sand dunes, the lone person in the midst of the expanse - it provides a great metaphor for loneliness

Nice shot. I love the shadows in the dunes and the person in the foreground really helps give the viewer a sense of scale.
