| This was one of my favorites of the challenge. the capture and expression are amazing, and I still can't get over how low you placed. This was top three material. |

I gave this an 8. As you know, I think this is an excellent series of images. I just looked and noted the differences between:
Tones aside (I like the color too), I think I like her glance in the b&w, just seems to capture her character a little more.. if that makes sense. |

This was/is my favorite-most shot of the best of 2008 series. And I simply love it!
The expression that you have capture of her, the composition, the background color blending into the color of the subject, and the overall feel -all are excellent here. There is small glich in blown out hair (but I shall live with it).
It is a picture that stays with you...

| Great expression, great subject. The lighting really highlights the wild hair yet the face is perfectly exposed in softer light. Well done! I think I'd like more negative space in front of the subject but your composition creates additional tension. 10 |
