Eric Lawrence ( Shutter-For-Hire) got together over the weekend to build a temporary studio in his dad's shop.

Since we were setting up the studio we used it as an excuse to take business stock photos.

It was all in all a good time however we did have a bit of a casualty. Since we didn't have a proper background support we made one out of two light stands (well that is at least right) and the horizontal support out of 3/4'' copper pipe. Well when we were setting it up one side have out and bent the top extension of my light stand =). I was able to fix it but as a result my light stand is a foot and a half shorter.

...as a result my light stand is a foot and a half shorter...
You'll have to photograph smaller people in future ;-)) Oops, sorry.
This is a great shot and extremely underrated. Love the humorous touch.

Fun mixture of white and blue collar. I'd tweak the sharpness and boost the orange a bit. Nice work and good concept.

Except for the Stihl logo, I think this would make an excellent stock image. Very well taken and edited for stock. 9

I think it could be slightly sharper - the image not the saw - but it's an awesome photo regardless. Should be in the top three: 10

Nice concept. Good lighting. Excellent use of a concrete saw. Something I notice in your model that has been missing in some other entrants' models is that his expression matches the title. He looks like a guy that wants my business and wants to take it to the next level. Great effort.

Boys and their toys. Great idea, although the face is underlit. The legs reflected on the ground are also distracting.

reflection issues hurt this one

Wow, looks like two photogs got together and just changed the subject on set. Great lighting and set, but when two people get together and can't come up with two different ideas, lacks the creative bug. Two pics of businessmen holding power tools. Someone should have changed it up. And I just noticed both titles have competition in them...
