Nah.. how about cutting? Chop a bit off a plant, dab it in some rooting powder and stick it in water / compost and it grows new roots and you have a new plant. So not dead :-)

hardly DNMC. It still has life as far as I am concerned. At first I wondered if it might be IreneM because the lighting is beautiful. I like the composition. Great photo!

The photo has a very elegant look to it. To me, the only slight distraction is a bright spot on the end of the branch. Plus, it looks like some sensor dust just to the right of it: 8

This is a creative take on the challenge, so well done you. I don't think the lighting is quite right though, and the different tone at the top of the frame is quite distracting to the overall shot. However, the flower is in shot and nicely coloured.

Beautiful studio shot. Nice background, colors, the shape of the flower and the intensity of the red against the muted tones. A tad dark on the neck of the pitcher and leaves, but otherwise very well done.

I love the soft line of the vase. Interesting. I feel as though the crop is too tight though. We need some negative space to the left and bottom. It feels a bit too crowded to me. :~)
