This is a lovely lady that Ter referred to me to have some photos done. We had a great time and got some awesome photos.

Opened from RAW through Photoshop, cropped, two layers of channel mixer to get the black and white, did the black and white with blue filter at 50% opacity and with green filter and 100%. Merged visible, resized, usm twice, first 50% 0.9 then 30% 0.6, saved for web.

Hi Dave
a really nice image of Selina
when i was talking to her the other day she said she had a great time too
i have to agree with a few others tho
that it is a tad dark
but also the B&W works nicely

So dark...why?

Shadow on the face distracts. Like the relaxed style.

I like this, a little fill flash on her face from the left would have helped a little

This has great potential, but lacks impact for some reason, and I'm trying to put my finger on what it is.

- I think the loss of detail in the dress is one thing, plus the composition is missing something.
- The edge of the lake looks like it's cutting her head off, which shouldn't make a difference but it does.
- I think the subject is the lady, and the lake has become a distracting element.
- The light is a bit harsh, creating unflattering shadows on her face
- The tonal range is a bit flat - lots of mid-greys and blacks, not many highlights.

Sorry for being critical. My own entry is flagging, and I wish people would try to help me understand why, so hopefully this is helpful to you.

Good idea, but there's not enough contrast, and the pose doesn't cut it for me.

Good lightning and great model. Her legs look lovely in this - they're set off by the nice shoes! A good pose and nice composition.

ok shot... good lighting. Though the spot on her nose, I assume is a booger ring, is a distraction.

Very cute model, and I like your choice of black and white for this.
