Galleries: Portraiture, Studio
Date Uploaded: Jan 11, 2009

Taken in my living room studio on a white paper background.
Thanks to Christoph for being my model.
I spent the day trying to get hold of a superman costume or t-shirt. No luck. Eventually We used a blue t-shirt ans I printed out the superman S which we taped to the shirt.
Not much processing. I used levels to make the background white, and saturated the superman S a bit.

Very nice work! Good clean background which would make it work well for stock. The only improvement I can see would be to tone down that hot spot on his forehead. Then sell it! :-)

I've seen this before I'm sure. This works and is a great example of a stock image! Light is a bit hot on his forehead though. Good luck!

It's a good concept but the models expression kills the image.

Nice humour in the photo. Could easily be used as a stock image.

I like the photo, but the lack of background is... well, lacking something.

Nice idea, I like how his tie is blowing, creating movement.

Cool shot I could see this being used for a add.

That is one UGLY briefcase. That said, it's a sound image. tell me you used a coat hanger for that tie. I don't really like the white background, necessarily. If I could change one thing, that would be it. Or crop tighter to the body, the run looks a little bit contrived.

Quite a giggle. Overworked and under paid - a real super hero.

Nice idea. The model's position could have been more forward-leaning (into the wind), and the lighting just a bit crisper.

I like the lightheartedness of this photo. The subject is a little too dead center for my liking, and the models expression is a bit ambiguous.

Good concept, fairly good execution. His expression just doesn't live up, IMO. Overall pretty good though and worth a 6.
