What Melethia said. Listen to her.
Perhaps a bit brighter with less noise and this would have been a winner.

Sometimes reaching the few is far better than pleasing the most. You received comments from some of the best "appreciators" on DPC - Ed (e301), Paul (ubique), Andre (undieyatch); AND a Chromeydome award. And I've been back to view this one several times since the challenge. You do good stuff. |

Thanks chromeydome for your exuberant comment. To be recognized by a few does much to make up for the 115th place. I've never been good at posting for the majority. |

It has a devotional look to it. Worshipping some God (Mammon, maybe?), or just going to work and staying alive. And trying to stay warm as well. |

It's almost like that 'Close Encounters' entry - but closer. I like this one too! |

A parade of ghosts; I enjoy the roughness of this, though perhaps the slightly off-square framing adds a dynamic that isn't in the end helpful? And of course, I think ot cries out to be black and white - I don't think the dirt and sootiness of it would be lost, and the parade of shapes might be enhanced. Fine work. |

To me, this feels like a picture of ghosts. It has the essence of something alive, yet the colors and lighting don't feel vibrant, they feel like they're from the past. I like this a lot. |

This is an interesting and original take on the challenge. There's quite a bit of noise and grain in the shot though. You did well with this idea. |
