 Title is tribute to lovethelight's Stare--I used her airbrushing/eye-popping technique in the re-edit of this shot.

I began with a trick my graphic design friend taught me--I converted the image to Lab color, then adjusted curves in the lightness, a and b channels separately--the colors you get this way are rather interesting.

Then I have to thank Judi as well, for turning me on to optikVerve--I applied the Hollywood filter, then gave it an overlay effect at about 20%, masking here and there.

Hue/Sat layer to bring out eye color/flower color.

Cloning out of crazy hair.

Oh yeah, this was lit with one Calumet strobe fired into a reflective umbrella.

And while I'm admitting to being completely unoriginal, might as well note that the pose/costume were copied out of an ad in Vogue. Can't remember who for.
