 New macro lens again. I dunno why but I like mucking up the colours using white balance. I think it looks quite effective. I don't think that people will like the colour in general, but I think it adds something.

In the thumbprint (the little picture), the dandelion head without seeds looks like Gollum. Weird.

Strong composition, a bit overmanipulated in the color saturation for my taste though. Best in the floral arrangment as symbol group. great DOF 8

Nice idea for this challenge! Old/new, small/large, coarse/fluffy.... Color is beautifully done, lovely contrast, well framed. One tiny, little quibble, wish that one seed head with the black background was as sharp as most of the others--because it's in the center it draws attention. Overall, a very good pic.

Fantastic detail, one thing would make this a 10, and thats bringing the 'dead' head out into clear background. By leaving it half way it spoils the composition for me.
