Great colors and textures - the grass and the detail on the side of the tombstone are very nice. The composition could be a little more engaging, perhaps a closer crop to focus more on the emotion as it relates to the challenge instead of the stark reality.

too much space behind her, she is too centered. Need to apply rule of thirds.

Good idea for the challenge but this comes off more as a snapshot than a portrait type shot. A different angle perhaps, come in more on the face and the stone, cutting out a lot of the background distractions and are those her keys by her knees? Using my envelopes (they are so handy) I cropped the right side up to her shoulder, just at the back hair line and it really made a big difference in the focus of the shot and the composition. If you work with this at all I would love to see the results. As is a 4

you should lighten up this photo.

I think black and white would help to keep the attention on the subject instead of being distracted by the bright flowering trees in the background. A depth of field ajdustment might also help to keep the foreground emphasized.

Alittle dull as a photograph due to the flat POV but definately opposite.

Nice picture but I'm not really feeling the "opposites". Good job though...

good idea, if you move the camera to the right and show give some space behind the headstone and eliminate some of the useless space behind her, I think it would be stronger. 5

Beautiful shot. The colors really pop and the exposure is great. Great idea as well.. :)

Very nice take on the challenge. I like the symbolism of the flowers on the grave. The contrast and saturation in the grass is terrific. Nice composition, the person in the center is balanced out by the weight of the stones on the left. Great job!
