 Twix is one week old and convinced she owns all she surveys. Born with "bullseyes" of rose grey hair around her eyes, it heralded the eventual grey she would turn, true to the genetic heritage of the Lipizzan father and grey Arabian mother. That enormous blaze disappeared as she aged. Her ears look hugely out of proportion to the rest of her head, as an adult she has small ears comparatively speaking. She has gums, no real teeth yet.

Again a JPG rather than RAW. I was glad to have Nik Color Efex Pro's Pro Contrast filter along with their Darken/Lighten one to bring out more detail in the shady side of her face. Fake fill flash like this did not exist at the time of this shot! I also darkened the edges to bring attention back to the subject.

If this were mine I'd probably play around and try and bring a blue tint into the sky area. Nice expressive face.

I like the sense of motion you capture and how the lighting is coming down on the horse. I agree with Neil, a tighter crop may make this a stronger photo.

Very nice! I'm tempted to suggest that you might even crop closer--the one thing that catches my eye and should not is the strong contrast between light and dark in the lower left. Since the head is most important here, it would be worth looking at a tighter crop to see if that's stronger still. But it's quite lovely as is!

Funny face indeed! It looks like she is wearing goggles. The pp is great, so much better than having deep shadow on her face.
