It doesn't get much worse than a spelling mistake on a tattoo!

Thanks to my wife for reluctantly letting me put a fake tattoo on her and draw with a sharpie. Was basically a self portrait too, my arms, so I had lots of takes...

Post challenge:

Well, a PB at least! I think if I had entered this one it would have been better, but it would have been DQ'd.

Here is my setup if anyone cares to see how poor I am (and how inexperienced) :-)

Great idea. I like the composition and the lighting. Might have scored a bit higher if you'd bumped up the sharpness a bit.

Nice shot... I liked your setup, it is bit familiar to me. Generally I do similar kind of setup at my home.. :))

nice one! great composition and lighting. My friend's boyfriend had this happen. He wanted "Garcia" (his last name) on his wrist but the tattoo artist wrote an "n" instead of an "r" so now it says "Gancia"...needless to say he's getting it covered up.

that's funny, even though it was staged.

Ahhh, that angle of approach! heheheh Maybe moving the softlight on the left around could reduce some of the glare on her left shoulder. Nice tats.

Yeah, that would suck a LOT

Haha! Well-executed. I guess she "unluckily" hired a poor speller.

You have obviously put a lot of work into the set-up and deserve to score highly as a result.

That's a lot better than some of the 'real' tattoos I've seen.

Awesome photo. The only thing I could say is that things seem to be a little muted and not quite as sharp as they could be. Also, is that a mini-screwdriver stuck in plastic tubing? ;-)

Lol I wonder how often that happens for real.
Nice shot with interest, well framed drawing the eye to the main subject matter, perhaps the colours could have been more vivid but hey.
