A quick shout out to Gennaro ( Rino63) - Grazie tanto! I've forgotten so much over the years and gets worse the longer I'm away from my family. I can already feel the long distance slap upside the head I'll get from my mum for this :)

BTW, for those who may have been wondering about the streaks in the sand - they were caused by shells.

I'm not particularly bothered by a less than stellar score for this style of photography. It's nothing new but I'm in love with the technique now, so I will continue to explore this path to see where it takes me.

Thank you so much for the x-award Christian, delighted and honoured!

This should have done so much better, but I guess the result is expected on DPC. Ubique's comment re the senses says it all.

the colours are just lovely, and it seems to evoke a true summer's day. useful, in the middle of winter (for me)!

This is absolutely gorgeous. The sand appears to sparkle. This really captures the magic of the beach for me.

I like this; it's about the senses, and if ever something was sensory, it's sand.

Cool effect, providing a nice mood. Not sure I can really tell what is sand and what is not.

I think it's a neat image. Not sure that is has sand as a primary or implied feature.

I quite like this image of the bride and groom, something different. Not sure how it will do in the challenge though. Also not sure what on the beach created the white streaks, (some grass?) but I think they overpower the overall effect of what you were hoping to create.

I love the blur and the artful approach. I'm sure DPC won't appreciate it. :~(

Very neat photo, but looks like grass instead of sand. I'm still giving you a good score, but would have been higher if not in a 'sand' challenge.

This is clearly RinaC's entry and I am sure it'll get lot's of low votes as the sand isn't obvious.

I love the effect on the couple but I'm not that taken with the way the sand has turned out, it feels a little too "in your face" and distracts from the people a bit much.
