 Although I live 20 miles from the ocean, I didn't have it in me to drive that far for a shot. Especially when I expect there will be some massive dunes and impressive beach submissions in this challenge.

Thought I'd give the interpretation a twist and used sugar instead.

Cropped, levels, contrast, and sharpening.

Nice take on the challenge. I like the lighting as it reflects off the nails,less so on the tops of the fingers. The backdrop blue/green corner seems out of place. Crop seems tight to the top.

The sunbursts and color of polish catch me, the whiteness of the sand as well, but overall would have like to see more of the image.
