As a thumb it looked pretty weak, so I had to check out why I had given it an eight. :) Now I know.
I like the backlighting and detail/color of the hair. Her look is a as strong as the 'blade' she is holding. The background gives it a feeling that this was near some battlefield out in the country. The blue sky reflection on the steel enhances the steel look.

| Great expression on the girl's face - very reflective. The backgroudn is a bit too blurred for my liking, but I think this is very creative and generally well composed. |

| She looks a little disgruntled about having to model--lol, just kidding, actually it is a wonderfully moody expression for the outfit, she sort of looks torn about this 'battle' . I think you manages to capture some emotion, very well done. From a more techincal standpoint I really wish the bright part on top could of been cropped somehow. (i know can't cuz of sword, but would of been nice if could of taken slightly different angle to remove that distraction) otherwise great job!! 9 |

| I am torn on this one . . . I really love the capture of the girl and the concept . . I tend to go for the less obvious concepts. But I honestly don't know if I would I would see it as opposites. I am learning that "meeting" the challenge is to be considered heavily when voting. To me -- really great piece! |

... the female of the species is deadlier than the male .... i like the way the sun shines on her hair .... how long before she " attained " that expression ?
