 Taken as the moon was descending towards the horizon. I used a 1.4x and a 2x tele-converter on my 100-400mm lens.

Crop, Adjusted levels, Adjusted hue/sat, convert to B&W - adjusting red and blue channels, USM, adj. levels, add borders, resize, save for web.

I almost see this as a face looking down - very nice detail, light in this.

Very nice job Scott! It deserves a higher score than it received. This kind of capture comes with a degree of difficulty and technical knowledge. I like the way you handled this and look forward to future moon captures from you!

Thanks for all the comments and votes. Only 7 people thought this was worse than a 4. Thank god for that!!! Honestly, it doesn't deserve an 8 or a 9 either. So it goes.....
