it's great, but I wish it were a little closer to the bug (probably not possible) and it seems just a little blown out ... 8

Title made me laugh. Wish the glass was a bit darker or more well defined.

Very well done indeed. The bowl(?) is almost a ghostly image, and then the stark contrast of the green. Love it.

Wow! Great visual pop! At first look the bug is just hovering. Like the DOF, like the composition, and the color contrast. 8

I like the minimalism of the shot and the basic white and green color combo also gives it a nice simplistic look. The lack of reflections on the glass is good, but I'm glad there are some marks so you still know that it is indeed a glass. The composition is great, and the detail in the caterpillar is excellent. Wonderful shot!

Good clarity on the caterpillar, but the shot is a bit too bright for my taste.

Nicely composed, exposed. The high-key effect makes the little green monster almost attractive.

Looks like it was shot in a studio/home studio. Is that somewhere you've never shot before? Other than that, it's a fantastic shot.

wonderful in its simplicity. the contrast of the white and the light green of the insect is great, as is the compositon with its head down and the curve of the glass.
