 First time photographing horses at racetrack; first time outside and at the rail. Learning to pan.

Clone out partial light pole at right of photo.

Sorry, just had to do that. :) Great action shot but it's too centered. If you left some negative space in front of the horse it would make a huge improvement.

Exceptional capture of the motion. The horse's feet and the wheel PERFECT! Exposure appears right on. It would be a bit more dynamic if there was less space behind the rider's back - and more space in from of the horse. The horizontal dashes right at the jocky's eye level detract just a bit. But having said all that - it's a great image that should finish high.
