The flowers are out of focus, so it's not apparent that the subject of the image isn't just fruit.

A very good photo but are these objects oposites in any way?

The flowers being out of focus takes the out of the idea. Also, I would have prefered this in color. There's just something not right about food (and flowers) without color.

The flowers are too far out of the depth of field for this to work as a dual-subject. Great focus on the fruit though.

I don't get what is opposite about the elements in this photo. The still life of the fruit looks very nice, but the out of focus flowers really detract from this image. If the flowers are an important element in the photo (as I suspect from the title) I would prefer to see them in focus and more than 1/4 of the way into the frame. As it is right now, it feels very unbalanced- the eye is drawn all the way to the left of the photo and out of the frame.

So flowers are the opposite of fruit then?............I disagree.

flowers not in focus..nor they're opposite to fruits, sorry.

The fruit are nice and clear but I find myself distrated by the blurry flowers on the right. The speia tone works well. I'm not sure how this relates to opposites though...

wheres the opposition?
05/12/2004 11:34:21 AM
Are they opposites?

Why sepia?

I like the photo but I'm not sure about the opposite

On it's own the bowl with fruit would make and interesting still=life study. There's good lighting there with enough detail in the shadow. The out-of-focus flowers are not a good addition to the composition.
