It's a stinkbug.. On the right side you can see it throwing a stink bomb. Thanks for your comments

This is an excellent insect capture. It would be nicer if the noise in the background were removed. NeatImage would work well for that.

Wow, that's what you call a closeup. It may be nitpicky, but I'd like to have seen enough DOF to bring the whole dandelion into focus. What kind of a bug is that, anyway?

Where do you guys find these bugs! This one is a beauty. If it was mine, I'd probably try a tighter crop, but as it is it is effective. Good one.

Ewww nasty looking bug. Did you use a high iso? Seems to be a bit grainy.

you should definately download the free version of Neat Image - the blurred background is great, but its full of digital noise. this could be from using a higher ISO setting than your camera is actually capable of handling. my g3 offers up to 400, but i only use 50 since anything else produces more noise than i care to see in my images...
