 I know we've seen photos like this before on DPC but I wanted to have a go for this challenge - I found the right book at my mum's house; a really old 'family doctor' book.

Unoriginal but I quite like the end result (with the exception of the reflection on the top of the lens).

In terms of editing: a crop, slight sharpening, some increase in the red saturation and I think that is it.

Great detail and lighting used to bring it out. I'm curious if the lighting was staged for this shot, or was there on it's own. Oh, a 9 and a fave.

you should pick a word people know, or maybe one relevant to the challenge... such as "transparent"
