 Candid taken and a Christmas Eve potluck.

My mom is a pianist and plays for several churches, among them a Unitarian Universalist. We went to their Christmas Eve event - it was a hoot.

This woman was sitting up front near the stage/altar. Poignant look. Sad in a way.

Actually she does seem a bit bored, perhaps she's just reflecting. I give you a lot of credit for actually taking candids during church, I can barely do it outdoors in public.

I love her accessories and glitter :-) Her mood just doesn't seem to match her outfit, like her mind is off in a different time, remembering other Christmasses.

this portrait definitely has a sad feel to it .. she's all dressed up with the christmas stuff and yet seems either lost in thought, when ppl can look sad even when they're not, or she really is sad ..
its a great aged looking process too alicia ... just perfect ... :)

Excellent candid, love your processing. You're right, she does look a bit sad, but ya gotta love that huge poinsettia in her hair :-)
