 Taken at home garden, at a rainy evening. Handheld with natural lighting. The sharpness may have suffered from the low shutter speed.

Post processing was raw conversion in Adobe Lightroom; resize, noise reduction, and sharpening in Photoshop, and finally save for web.

I think it wasn't the best outtake, but maybe this one has the better bokeh. And since this is subject of the challenge, here it goes.

Greetings from the Critique Club...

I was not able to vote on this challenge, but if I had, I probably would have given you a 6.

My first thought is that this reminds me of an impressionist painting. At first I thought I found the pink flowers a little distracting because they are fighting for attention with the flower stem. In the end however, I think I would like this image even more if they flower stem was not there. The softness and coloured shapes are more than enough to keep my attention. They are very relaxing and soothing. I think you could crop the bottom 1/4 of the photograph, and have a nice image with the flower stem. Alternatively, I think you could crop the top part with the flower stem, and have a nice impressionist photo. Lots of options to explore!

Great job with the bokeh! The colors of the background are great and this is a very creamy background, which is good for bokeh as i learned. The object is simple, well focused and calm, as the title.

I like the contents, but I think the image would be stronger with less 'void' in the middle. The pink flowers are excellent, but the green swathe adds little for me.
