My model is one of my bunnies, named Pookie by his previous owner. He is, as I tell him every single day without fail, The Best Bunny in the Whole Wide World! He posed beautifully for this so he gets to keep his title.
I thought up this weird little idea pretty early in the week but didn't have time to set it up till today. Wanted something a little different with a Chistmassy theme (I predict a lot of Christmas lights will appear in this challenge). Little white lights in the background over a dark green drape, cottony tree skirt on his "floor," a basket of red and gold ornaments on a bed of gold garland, and a bow around his neck. The lights were to guarantee some festive bokeh, and I chose this pose because of Pookie's expression and the one spot where the garland is mixed up in the bokeh of the light behind it. Made an interesting pattern to look at and I like the warmth of the image. Maybe a bit flat (shot at midday so light wasn't very dramatic) but a second session this evening didn't produce anything I liked better.
PP - converted from RAW, straightened, cropped, white balance, increased contrast, resized, sharpened, added border. |

The balls are really distractive an the bunny is just a little bit out of focus. I actually like the bokeh, but i think it would be shown better in another perspective. |

I really like the bow (s)he's wearing.
I don't think the basket on the right adds anything and I think it would be much stronger to focus on the bunny with a beautiful bokehy bow. Lots of white on white with a couple of black eyes and a golden/green bokeh. |

Good focus on the eyes - cropped a bit tight to get the full effect of the bokeh background... |
