I hadn't seen the name "Poirot" outside a Agatha Christie novel. Then I noticed that if you crop it right below the name, it becomes one of those pictures where you can "reverse the perspective" -- it gives the illusion of being shot from below and to the right...or maybe my eyes are just too tired!

A little overblown on the left side, but I like your depth of field -stephan

Too much background in this one, even if it is blurred substantially. I don't think I would've cut off the clock either, it looks pretty cool. The lighting is good, but I think with a blank black background (say that one 10 times fast!) it would've been more effective. It is a nice shot though, don't let me get you down about it. Good Luck! - Inspzil

I like the old clock. It may be art to see only part of the object and leave empty space, but I don't see that. Besides your empty space is not empty. This distracts from that point. Good clear shot of clock, maybe light source a little close and washes out too much. Decent shot over-all.

I like the clock, the fact that you didn't show the whole clock makes the composition very interesting. The barely-there background is great. I like everything about this photo. joanns

I love the compostion and dof in this shot...light source is awesome too! I can't tell if it's an 'illusion' or not...but the clock appears not to be perfectly vertical. 9 Lisa
