Great shot! My first impression was that this was a mannequin and now that I've just read that this photo was shot in a clothing store, I'm still wondering if this is a real woman or a mannequin.

I really like this. Very professional looking, with a great model :) I really like the pose and the way the material hangs over her extended arm. Beautiful. 10 - Konador

interesting how teh slow shutter speed is apparent in the displacement of th e spots on the front of her dress. i would have liked to see more lighting focus on her face rather than her chest and dress. creative image. mag99

One of the few b/w I like this challenge. Most are not dramatic in the least and this is great. I'm seeing double on some of the polka dots, but it's the dots that make this dramatic. Well done.

lovely image. i like the composition and the lighting is superb. also, the dark background really highlights her dress, which is very pretty. ~mcmurma

What a nice change. For some reason I just rated about 40 pictures in a row and there was like one 7 among them. Now this gem Nice pic. Nice lighting, and actually great B&W. I was skeptical how it would work for this challenge. This one came out very well. Great pose and exposure. Nice job. - Inspzil

Nicely lit. I would have preferred a little more on the left side of the face. 7

This is a nice portrait of a dress since the face is so dark that you can't see it well. This is not dpc related but just wanted to comment that one has grown accustomed to a different standard for fashion photography that involves some editing, lots of editing frequently. Although the model is young and slim, the image is not entirely flattering as a fashion shoot. The lines under her chin and around her armpit would have been edited out if it were. I don't like the light on the thumb. The light is on the left of her body and gives a beautiful effect on her left shoulder. Yet, the pose seems to indicate the focus of the image is on the right arm and hand with the fabric draped over them. There's where the light happens to be poor. 8 Journey

I keep looking at this and for some reason I see nothing but spots. I think I need my eyes checked. :) very pretty and great portrait.

Sensually elegant. Classy. Vogue. I would have also tried to avoid the raised hairs on the back, unless there would have been more movement on them; as it is they seem to be simple out of place. Also, the champagne glass could have been clearer if it was pointing away from the chest, towards the light, providing a balance in the composition against the extended arm in the left.

Nice composition. Nice subject matter; however, the lighting does not do much for me because the shadows on her face are not complimentary. 5

Perhaps you could have got a bit more light on the model's face. Otherwise this really works well.

This photo is so glamorous. I want pics like this of me! The way the fabric is so sheer that you see double circles in spots is a little distracting. Makes me feel like I'm seeing double somehow. Otherwise, this is a perfect shot. Excellent use of lighting. If you were to do it again and could use more lighting tho, u might fill in some on her face so that it isn't quite so dark. Love the pose. 10 ~indi

Lovely - the shadows on the face are a bit funny, maybe her face should have been more in shadow? I think it's the teeth that are distracting. And it takes a sec to see that it is a wine glass/ When the restrictions are off and you can rework it, try making the wine red.

Absolutely stunning.. the use of lighting in this image not only captures the mood of the photograph but evokes an emotion that transcends the physical photograph.. You can actually see the passion of the photographerâ€Â¦I could use the one picture to write an entire story, its absolutely vivid.. Did I mention great job?

This is a wondeful shot! The polka dots work so well with this shot being in b/w. The transparency? of the dress with the polka dots showing through on both sides is a very nice touch. Not fair - you always have pretty models :) I'm undecided about the object in her left hand...? I don't know if a "solid" colored object would have worked better or not. Great shot! - JB

This shot is amazing. You've used your single light source to its absolute fullest potential, and your tones in this shot are brilliant. Great job. Please keep it up.
