 I'm hoping to beat my best ever score with this..... it's hard to tell though... I guess I can but try!

To answer Jems question of how I did it:

SET UP:
I cut out a brightly coloured page from a magazine (advertisement for a bottle of perfume I think). This was used as the background... what you see as pink and blue.

I then used sand and shell dust as my "star dust".

I cut out a star shape from a magazine.... and et volia....... Star of Bokeh!

I saturated and sharpened, cropped and resized..... oh, and I played with the levels a bit.

Ooh, and it was lit from the right handside by a desk lamp!

COMMENTS:

Thank you for them all. It's wonderful to read through them, and I love receiving constructive criticism - we are all constantly learning.... my advice to any photographer who gets upset by constructive criticism or comments is: take a step back and realise that we're helping, not ripping your image apart when we comment :)

This is a really good idea for a picture. It is hard to understand, which leaves the mind room to wander...but it would be nice if you could tell a little more about it. Good work on lighting and position though!
