Greetings from the Critique Club...
I was not able to vote on this challenge, but if I had, I probably would have given you a 4 or 5.
My first few thoughts are 1) I cannot find the personifcation, and 2) the white balance needs to be corrected. The composition is good and you've chosen a good shutter speed to capture the motion of the hammer. In the end however, it looks like your score was affected by the fact you chose to portray an emotion, as opposed to showing emotion through an inanimate object.

Interesting take. I definitely connect with this photograph. The white balance appears be off, and I think you would have been better served with a smaller aperture for DOF. A second light would help with the shadows. The towel should have cropped out, or not used. It takes away from the photograph. I really like the emotion and tension you have created. |

an interesting concept approach to personification - not sure the lighting and color tones help the image though |
