This is really cool - it looks like an alien eyeball. I would have never guessed what it was had I not read the comments below.

Very good job Roz roz and Karen KarenNfld! And you are correct. It is a picture of a christmas tree with a several second exposure while zooming out. The big blue and green ball in the center is just a round ornament that I focused on while shooting the picuture. Then before I did the inverse I did a selection for the circle and excluded it from the inverse. Created the inverse on the BG and then adjusted the hue/sat. Did an inverse selection to select the circle and adjusted the hue/sat seperately for the circle.

I did what Karen and Roz did, before I'd read what they'd done.

How do stars get to that location? They fly, using one of the airlines in the Star Alliance. ;-Þ

i reckon you've got a christmas tree and taken a photograph of it with its lights on .. you may have had it on a long exposure and moved the camera while the shutter was open to get the squiggley look .. you've put it in your editing program and inverted it .. THEN I'VE GOT NO IDEA .!!!. cant even guess wot the thing in the middle is ..
its a great image and very different and really made me have a very good look .. !!!..:)

That looks freaky. I inverted the photo, it's a negative image of stars on a tree, looks like you zoomed while taking the photo. No idea what the bright spot in the middle is though.
