Hi Kevin and * Greetings from the Critique Club *
Oh my gosh! Your first landscape! You should not have done the first one because now you're hooked.
The image is very well done with superb exposure, focus and loads of interest. Compositionally, it rather violates the "norm" by placing the lead-in line on the top right instead of the bottom left. But - the good news is that it works perfectly for this shot! The viewer enters from the right side of the bridge and then can explore the arches, the distant landscape and water at will.
So - we nearly all agree it's a superb image (me and most of your commenters); the question is, "What can we do to make a superb image even better?"
I think one of the commenters hit the nail on the head - it "needs" one place for the eye to rest. Picture something like this:
a) A person in colorful clothes sitting with their legs haging down at the far end of the bridge. (Just past the square pillar.)
or b) A bird flying in front of the clouds just above the square pillar.
or c) A old horse-drawn wagon crossing the bridge - if that's even possible - so that it would be in view.
Having said all that, remember that it's a great landscape, and an awesome "first landsacpe."
Keep shooting and sharing!
-Tom-

Like the image, very much...good exposure, the color looks a bit off in the greens, but the blues are Ok as is the bridge....your title is too long and the paranthetic explanation could have been cropped....as it were.....In short....Image good...title bad. fortunately the image gets the score. |

Crisp, clear, and beautiful. Excellent job keeping so much detail in the shadowed areas without overexposing the sky. The colour is superb, and the composition is well balanced. |

A lovely rendition of the the curves of the bridge, the plants at its base and the blue water. Also, the textures of stone and plants are great. It won't affect the score for the picture - but what a cornball title! |

I want it to be slightly sharper. But love the arches descending in size |

This has all the elements of a great photo, and good composition. I've scored it well, but am teetering: there still seems to be something missing. Perhaps it just misses the beginning or end--there's neither a starting point or an end to the bridge. And if the bridge isn't the focal point, what is? |

Beautiful photograph....think it would have looked better on a clear day, but cant help that, clouds seem to have a mind of their own :) No place like that around here :( well not that I know of anyway. |

A little bit less contrast between the sky and the foreground would have been more appropriate here. |
