Nice catch, this is an immature Black Capped Night Heron, an uncommon bird to see during the day(though they are pretty common in general) Let me know and I will send you one I caught of three of these guys together. Karen for what its worth you probably do have them.

Lovely little bird. If the other photo was only 15 minutes later you must have been dealing with pretty low light. You have done a good job. |
