will have to add details later...basically took an old lensbaby shot from a long ago b&w side challenge and threw a lot of filters at it (starting with a light touch of Fractalius, then an array of Nik Color Efex filters at various blend modes and opacities), then a frame overlay

the shot I used:

I like 'em both. I like the additional softness and glow your processing added to this one.

That is simply fantastic processing. I like the way you brought attention to the shadows and highlights accentuating the shapes instead of sharpness or focus. Great framing too.

I need to attach my lensbaby and swear to not quit until I get results like this. Stunning! Love the frame and the processing.

Ok...for some levity...cause you know some people are thinking it:

"Not sure I see what you're getting at here. I dont's know if I like the blur effect either. Sorry :-("

"Lost me"

"I don't get it or understand it. I can't see what your aim is. Sorry. 4"

"Blurred, confusing"

"too fuzzy in more ways than one"

"Hurts my eyes. 4"

"this picture freaks me out"

"foreground is too blurred, use a higher shutter speed"

"I'm at a loss to begin to understand this...the blur and overexposer bothers me,"

"Sorry but to me this is a jumble of out of focus shapes. I'm not sure what you were aiming at here but it did not work for me. This is why I gave you a 3 rating."

"There is so much going on and nothing in true focus that my eye can't find a resting place."

"I don't really care for the processing or the OOF portions of the image. There seems to be a lot going on in this image, and it might be too busy."

"Focus is a little soft."

"I get the feeling that you are attempting to make a political statement and I can't quite figure it out. The blur in this photo is pretty overwhelming vs. the partially obscured part that is in focus. All in all, this photo confuses me."

"huh?"

{All actual comments made on some of my blurry challenge photos. God I love this place!}

I like the effect. I do wish there was a wee bit more room at the top.
