Eggcellent title, but not picture, sorry.... Serves me right though, am hungry now at 1am! Love egg on toast...
I'd have got rid of the salt / pepper pots, and simplified the picture. I've submitted a few busy pictures in the past, and they never do well. |

| Goodness that makes me hungry! I might have chosen a simpler plate to put it on though; Pretty as that one is, it detracts from the subject and makes things look a little busy. |

This seems a bit busy to me, and the lighting too harsh.
Suggestions:
1. Light from an angle instead of straight down onto the plate as it really makes the whites harsh.
2. Use a solid color plate instead of one with distracting patterns.
3. Consider displaying the raw eggs in a more appealing way than in the store carton. |

The cooked egg on this image isn't particularly attractive, it would look a lot better with the yellow yolk up and a smooth white surface.
Also, the composition leaves the uncooked eggs in the background and it just starts to look like a normal photo of a breakfast.
I think a change of composition and a more attractive egg (which I realise is a very strange thing to say) would really help this picture. |
