 We've had lots of rain today. So I thought it would be cool to see if I could catch a reflection in the water - plus some rain drops. Well, neither happened very well but I do like how this turned out.

And I cannot figure out how to do a good reflection of the starbursts. So WYSIWYG :)

Jojo thanks for the AWESOME tutorial! Hopefully others will stop by and see what you've done and learn too. Appreciate it!

edit: moving to workshop because i may want to use this for Dec FS :)

Color tones and clarity of this photo are absolutely wonderful!!! Love the sparkles on the JOY ornament. I agree with turnofthesue, the ornament takes on the appearance of ice with the color and clarity you have. And the waterdrops are the beginning of it starts to melt.

My favorite so far. Not just because it's in B&W (though that certainly doesn't hurt) but I love the shallow DOF and whatever you did to process it. Very very nice.

Here's an idea:

Try selecting the top half of the image after you add the starbursts and use ctrl+T to flip it upside down. Set the anchor point to the bottom handle. Then change the blending mode to make it look like a reflection. Of course, you can also do this to just the starburst layer :)

Hope this helps. I really like the one you did though. The smooth gradient to reflection and nonexistent reflection is lovely :)

Don't know how I missed this - but it is gorgeous. The liquid feel of the whole image is amazing. Love your BW and the sparkles.

The so many ways you are using this simple ornament never cease to amaze me... and I LOVE them all! This one has to be one of my favorites so far. I really like the B&W treatment you gave this - great tones all around!
